About Dr. Levy
Dr. Levy is a clinical psychologist with more than 45 years of clinical, forensic and teaching experience. In 2013 he founded Paularino Counseling Associates in Costa Mesa where he offers a highly skilled and dedicated group of clinicians the opportunity to serve the emotional needs of Orange County’s residents. Dr. Levy also currently supervises the clinical work of licensed psychologists and social workers at the California Rehabilitation Center in Corona, California.
As a Certified Bioenergetic Therapist, Dr. Levy is an active member of the Southern California Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis where he currently serves as chairman of the ethics committee. He also holds certifications in Pain Management, Biofeedback, and Neurofeedback from the College of Medicine at UCLA, Biofeedback Certification Institute of America and EEG Spectrum. He has taught courses in Bioenergetic Analysis at the University of California, Irvine. In addition, Dr. Levy served on the graduate faculties of the California School of Professional Psychology and the University of Phoenix, where he trained future clinicians. He has written several articles about his approach to psychological treatment, published on this website and elsewhere.
Dr. Levy received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his internship at the Mental Development Center and Fairhill State Hospital. He has extensive experience as a consultant to primary clinicians in private psychiatric facilities and forensic settings in Southern California.
